2024-25 NATIONAL PTA REFLECTIONS CONTEST

CALL FOR ENTRIES!

 

WHO:

 

All Sixes Elementary School students are invited to participate by submitting their original work in the following grade divisions:

Primary: K-Grade 2

Intermediate: Grades 3-5

Accessible Arts Division: For students who identify with a disability and may receive services under IDEA or ADA: Section 504. Entries can be submitted in the Accessible Arts Division or the grade division that aligns most closely with their functional abilities.

 

WHAT:

 

2024-2025 Reflections Theme: "Accepting Imperfection"

The Reflections Art Program provides an opportunity for all students to express their

creativity through their original works of art.

 

WHEN:

 

Submission Deadline: Wednesday, October 16, 2024

Complete the required entry form and submit it along with the original artwork

to the Sixes PTA Reflections Committee.

WHERE:

 

Return the completed entry form and artwork on or before October 16th. You can drop them off in the front office or send them via your child, marked to the attention of Christa Cavaretta, Sixes PTA Reflections.

HOW:

 

Students wishing to participate must submit their original art and the completed entry form by October 16th. Submitting early is greatly appreciated.  Entries can be submitted in one or all of the six art categories:

 

Visual Arts

Photography

Literature

Music Composition

Dance Choreography

Film Production

 

RULES:

Please refer to the individual rules for each art category by clicking on the links above.

 

JUDGING CRITERIA:

 

Judges will score each original art entry based on the following criteria:

Interpretation of Theme: 20 points

Creativity: 10 points

Technique: 10 points

 

In the event of a tie, the entry with the higher score for theme interpretation will receive greater recognition.
